JERNADE MIAH

Jernade Miah (born September 1991) is a British MC, singer-songwriter, and dancer. He made his mainstream recording debut in the spiring of April 2010 with his debut single "Switch Me On" off the free mixtape "DOUBLE CHECK" (available on his website www.jernademiah.com)
Early Life

Jernade was born in East London to Bangladeshi Muslim parents. He is of Bangladeshi origin. He has 2 other sisters. The 19 year old has been developing his craft over the past year as well as fronting up his own dance crew.
Life and Career

In April 2010 2Point9 Records (Doh Point Nau) revealed Jernade Miah as their latest addition to the roster. Singer, songwriter Jernade becomes Doh Point Nau's newest signing, joining the likes of Jay Sean, Rishi Rich, Juggy D, Mumzy Stranger and Veronica, who have all been the product of the Independent Label over the last decade. As well as managing Craig David and Mis-Teeq whilst part of Telstar Records. On March 10th 2011 Jernade Miah won the Best Newcomer Award at the 2011 Lebara Asian Music Awards in London  after less than 12 months being signed."Switch me on" was his first offering on Doh Point Nau, followed by "Rejekt", "Ima Fighter" ,"Hero","In and Out", "Carnival Girl" and more. The singer is now working on his second mixtape which is not mentioned when to be released. The signing of Jernade is testament to 2Point9's/DohPointNau's objective of developing the hottest home-grown British Asian talent for global success.
Jernade Miah was arrested in 2009 in Central London on an assault charge.

In August 2010 Jernade Miah was described by Bollywood legend Sharukh Khan as the "Next Big Star" in the Asian music scene whilst performing at a party for his latest film Ra.One  When the film wrapped, SRK threw a party and surrounded himself with friends, cast, and crew who helped bring his production together. On the guestlist for last night's event was 2 Point 9's rising star Jernade Miah.
